In Last of the Dambusters Johnny takes us with him on a personal journey of discovery as he tr*els to France to dig up the newly discovered crash site of his old aircraft, which was shot down on a later daring mission. He uncovers some fascinating remnants of the aircraft, including parts of the specially adapted Lancaster s secret dam busting modifications - the only ones that now exist. And for the first time ever (on film) a Dambuster flies back to Germany to revisit the huge dams that he attacked on May 16th 1943 and to find out the terrible fate of some of his 53 comrades who never returned from the mission.
